IMPORTANT:
The floor should be cared for using only agents intended for this purpose.

Floor maintenance should be carried out using only products intended for that purpose. For lacquered flooring Barlinek recommends:: “Protektor Concentrate”, “Protektor Komplet”, and “Protektor Shine”. If Barlinek care products are not available on the market, use care products from other manufacturers intended for lacquered wooden floors.

ATTENTION: Before applying any third party care product be sure to test it on a concealed area of the floor to assess whether or not there is a negative reaction of lacquer on the floorboard (for example, discoloration or peeling). Using other care products than intended for lacquered floors, may result in changing the colour of the floor, forming of stains, changing the slipperiness of the floor surface, or changing its gloss. Barlinek bears no responsibility for the effects of using agents made by other manufacturers that are not equivalent.

Regular care of lacquered floors conceals minor wear and tear of everyday use. The greatest enemies of wooden floors are water and sand. In case of soiling of the floor, these should be carefully and gently removed.

VARNISHED BRUSHED FLOORING – MAINTENANCE, CLEANING, RENOVATION

Barlinek floor boards can be finished in various ways providing different final effects. For many years Aged wooden flooring with its simple yet characteristic features has been in high demand. Aged flooring is created as a result of special brushing techniques / processes of the top wear layer. This processing of wood structuring depends on mechanical removal of soft elements of the top layer. The processing of wood growth rings and grain lay-out are emphasized. With time, traces of small scratches and indents will become less visible on a brushed floor than on smooth surface.

ACTIONS AFTER MOUNTING

Immediately after mounting the varnished brushed flooring, the Barlinek Company recommends the application of “Protektor Blask” agent using a mop. This agent will form a thin film on the flooring, which will have a hydrophobic impact protecting the brushed floor against water. Thanks to this protection, removing dirt and water is easier. The flooring will maintain its original appearance and continue to look new for a longer period of time. Important: The “Protektor Blask” agent is not to be diluted, pour it directly on the flooring prior to spreading it with a mop. The agent is to be spread on the flooring so as it would be damp not wet.

CLEANING OF VARNISHED BRUSHED FLOORING:

STEP 1

For renovation (cleaning) of brushed flooring we should use “Protektor Komplet” and “Protektor Blask” agents, soft brushes, spray bottles, a mop.

STEP 2

The “Protektor Komplet” agent is to be diluted in 1:8 rate and poured into the spray bottle. Then we spray the flooring surface and wait ab. 5 minute.

STEP 3

Clean the flooring surface with the soft brush.

STEP 4

Remove dirt with a piece of clean cloth with water. Repeat this operation a few times until the flooring surface is clean. Use a separate container with clean water to clean the cloth. Change the cleaning water frequently.

STEP 5

Having thoroughly cleaned the flooring surface the “Protektor Blask” agent should be used. Pour the “Protektor Blask” agent on the flooring and spread it with the mop. “Protektor blask” will protect the flooring against adverse impact of water penetration and of dirt into brushed areas / connections between boards.

STEP 6

These works can also be done using mechanical equipment i.e. a parquet polisher and “Protektor” series agents.
